To meet the growing demand for qualified engineers in Turkey’s rapidly expanding software industry, our Software Engineering Department was established by a resolution of the Council of Higher Education (Yükseköğretim Kurulu, YÖK) dated November 11, 2020. Since its inception, the department has been structured around an interdisciplinary educational approach. Closely following both academic and sectoral developments, the department continues its work with an innovative and visionary perspective.

Our academically distinguished faculty members, who conduct scientific research at both national and international levels, aim to provide students with diverse career opportunities through strong collaborations with public and private sector institutions. During their undergraduate studies, students are expected to actively participate in R&D projects integrated into these collaborations—reinforcing their fundamental engineering knowledge and skills while gaining hands-on experience in advanced research areas.

Based on the 2025 Higher Education Institutions Exam (Yükseköğretim Kurumları Sınavı, YKS) placement results, our department will admit its first cohort of students. We aim to educate software engineers who are technically proficient, research-oriented, committed to ethical values, and capable of competing on a global scale.
